"Alan Cumming has signed to play the newest addition to the X-Men mutant superhero roster, playing a shadowy blue-tinted superhero with a tail whose great gift is the ability to teleport from one location to another. At the same time, "Tadpole" star Aaron Stanford has been set to play Pyro, a mutant who becomes part of the junior X-Men team. He has the ability to manipulate fire.

Once again directed by Bryan Singer, "X-Men 2" will begin production in Vancouver on June 17. Returning is the original good guy cast of Patrick Stewart, Halle Berry, James Marsden, Hugh Jackman, Anna Paquin and Famke Janssen. Also back is Ian McKellen as the villainous Magneto. Lauren Shuler Donner and Ralph Winter are producing and Avi Arad is exec producing. The script is by Dan Harris and Michael Dougherty."

So damned cool. Woah. Allan Cumming was in Titus, Eyes Wide shut, he was the computer geek in GoldenEye and he was the male lead in Caberet on Broadway. I suggest a visit to his website. It's awesome. The man is lovely and he *CAN* do a very nice German accent.

Vancouver. I sense a trip northward to investigate. Mmmm. Yes.

You are such a sci-fi geek (and I mean that in the best possible way)! Are you going to go to World-Con in San Jose in September? If not, you might want to think about it. I bet you'd have a great time.

(and have I mentioned I used to write for Star Trek?)

I'll have to ask my Uncle if he's gonna work on it.

He did work on the X-files when it was up there

*laughs* Thank you. I was thinking about it, but it would probably be too expensive all around for me. I'd have to take unpaid time off and that would be ugly.

Haha! He was "Mr. Floop" in SpyKids, that's where I recognize him! Nice choice, a tad old, but he has an infectious smile.
