Y'know. It occurs to me, if you do it correctly, you could wreck people with this Part 1/Part 2 business. I mean, everyone who wants to know how this is going to end already does but you could seriously screw with people by ending the first half on the worst down notes ever. (And distilling the middle of the book where everyone is progressively more whiny into something more jagged would be very good.) Been a long time since movie makers (of large budget movies anyway) have been willing to let people leave the theater on a down note. Especially since at the end of these two movies.... POOF! Unless Rowling decides to write more books, there isn't much forthcoming in the way of new material.

But hey, you could still go to the amusement park.
