Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Hank Azaria will voice evil Gargamel. Huh. Interesting. Katy Perry will portray Smurfette, Alan Cumming is taking on Gutsy Smurf and George Lopez is onboard as Grouchy Smurf.

Word is that filming on The Hobbit will start in late June/early July and will last an entire year.

With the way this Captain America casting go round is going, I have as good a chance of being Steve as anyone else.

Rose McGowan has joined Conan! Not as Sonja, though. That's been pretty much delayed for the forseeable future. At least until this Conan movie is out.

At ShoWest 2010, Dolby Laboratories, Inc. announced it is working with Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar Animation Studios to deliver a new audio format, Dolby Surround 7.1 with Toy Story 3.

NPH clarified on his Twitter that Azaria's actually going to be playing Gargamel, not just voicing him. Which, thank god, lol. I love the casting of Katy Perry as Smurfette though. I j'adore Katy.

You know, I was REALLY looking forward to the Red Sonja movie. I'm bummed that it's not happening anymore. Though, you know, I will be watching Conan regardless coz....mrawr.

I was gonna say, if NPH confirmed it I'd say it's pretty much good. I hate the Smurfs but the casting means I gotta see it. :)

One presumes that the Hobbit filming lasts a year because it's two movies?

Yeah. Because there are two movies and well, it seems they'll be filiming /everything/ again and then editing from there for shaping.
