My mother sent me a copy of the L'anse Sentinel because there is a feature on my grandparent's house because it is over 100 years old. If you move down the page a bit, you can get a picture of it. If you click through news there is a small section of the story there. I wish the whole thing was up there, as my grandfather is hilarious. I also wish they had a better webdev.

My sister's birthday present arrived. Hooray! So, anyone thinking of getting me FFXIII for my birthday, totally try something else. I have part of Kris' present purchased and on the way. Her present to me was awesome. She got me this lovliness. I need to make a trip to the framer's soon as I have things that need frames, including that.

I have NO idea what to get Holly.

I am at the end of Bonehunters (6th Malazan Book of the Fallen) and it seems as though everyone has enacted their crazy bastard plans at exactly the same time. My list of beloved characters grows perilously thin, as people either turn into bastards or die.

I think that's it right now. I might well be over committed timewise but, well, I don't see anything I want to cut back on. It is what it is.

Oh well, maybe I'll go next year. I've been giving a lot of thought to canceling my comics habit anyway due to the fun economy.

Great books. My favorite characters seem to ... well... die. I know that there is likely a bunch of not-dead but I haven't seen them again, you see, so I DON'T KNOW.

Kind of liking Final Fantasy so far - other than the fact that at ~12 hours in, I seem to be only halfway through the "level 1 tutorial". The "leader+follower" logic of XII, combined with the Barbie factor of X-2 into "paradigms". Not sure if I like the Eidolon system, yet.

Lightning is your favorite character, right?
