Wow. Curse you Mike.

I got Dragon Age Saturday night. I played Sunday and yesterday and I'll be damned if I'm not going to play it again tonight.

And I can already see where I'm going to want to REPLAY IT as another type of character JUST TO MAKE DIFFERENT CHOICES.

*FLAILS*

Jesus, that must have been the worst choice ever. Talk about chosing between worse and worse.

A lot about the game changes depending on how you start, what you play, and how you choose to play through the game. One fight I could not avoid with diplomacy until I went back and built up my skill.

Yeah. I tell you what, I'm going to be less concerned with getting things done quickly and do my best to get them right next time. Also, a different order - that much is sure. I have a super persuasive character, lemme tell you that.

This honestly sounds like me, almost word for word, after I finished Mass Effect 2. >_>

I'm already obsessed that there must be a better way. THERE MUST BE A BETTER WAY.

Dammit... Now I wanna play. I got through Batman (it's in my bag for you) a few days ago.

I don't have a game on deck right now, so I guess I could.

This is going to totally fill my hours until FFXIII shows up.

It's good, but I honestly liked Oblivion (Elder Scrolls IV) better, due to its less linear nature.

I think Dragon Age has a decent decision-making tree, and I do like how that changes things up. I also love that my backup characters are leveling (more slowly than if they were active, but they still level).

And I have a dog. A badass war hound that's more useful than the Fable II dog was.

Yeah. I'm sure that there will be some frustration with the linearness at some point but that's part of what I want to see if I can change it up a bit next time. Oblivion frustrated me with the main plot, which I started to avoid like the plague rather quickly as I really didn't give a damn about the main plot at all and would prefer to do anything else.

Agree 100% on Oblivion, that was my main complaint with it. The mainplot was quick and boring, it got ridiculously monotonous towards the end as well.

You don't have time to breathe, let alone play video games, girl.

It only gets worse. I took the dog into Denerim and it ran off and brought back a little boy...I told the dog to let the boy go because he was too young to fight darkspawn...and he did. It was clearly the wrong choice.

I AM GOING TO MAKE ANOTHER CHARACTER SOLELY FOR THE PURPOSE OF DOING THAT DOG CONVERSATION AGAIN AND GETTING IT RIGHT

How was it the wrong choice? I DON'T SEE?

The kid just left! No mini-quest, no item, no further conversation, he just LEFT. And there was clearly something up with the kid, because the only word he said was "Puppy!"

"Where's your mom?" "Puppy!"
"Uh..." "Puppy!"

If you've gotten far enough to meet Enchantment (i.e. Sandal) then you'll know why I'm utterly convinced there's something more you can do with Puppy.

Ahhhhh. Okay. I can see that. Yeah.

There are a few encounters I've had like that. "Can you help me?" "Maybe?" "I need this..." "Ummmm... I can't do that." "Oh. Sorry to have bothered you."

And they never talk to you AGAIN.

NEVER SAY NO. OMG.

Some random townsperson asks you to go count the spots on frog butts? YOU PROMISE TO COUNT THOSE FROG BUTTSPOTS GOOD. Just to find out WHY you need to go and count buttspots. I have learned this lesson well. Sometimes various party members will disapprove but that's really the exception.

I do find myself a weeee bit frustrated that some conversations go on and on and on and others end after one response. I'm all, "WAIT! I WANTED THOSE OTHER ANSWERS TOO!"

And lemme just get this out of the way... Alastair? He is so EASY OMG and yet completely adorable. I'm a wee bit sad I can't seduce Morrigan as a girl.

Zevran? Yeah. I've noticed.

I am especially sad that you can't seduce Morrigan as a girl, because it means that with a little careful timing you can only manage to screw THREE-FOURTHS of your adventuring party in one night, as opposed to all of them.

Alistair, naturally, comes last. :D And then you can trot right over to Leiliana and be all O HAY WE'RE BREAKING UP and she's all OH I AM SAD BUT HE IS GOOD FOR YOU and then she gets this look on her face and is all SO HOW WAS IT TELL ME EVERYTHING AND THEN MAYBE PILLOWFIGHT OUI? Good times man.

I haven't found said ship captain but I read that when you find her and if yo're already hooked up with Alistair, you can totally get down with them both. Corrupting the innocent, baby.

You can't seduce Sten, either. That makes up for the whole, y'know, Zevran and Allistair being featherweights.

DAMMIT I WANT TO ROMANCE THE STEN.

He likes me so much now, he'd so go for it. Also the dwarf-Qunari contrast makes me giggle; sort of a basset hound/great dane type of match there.

Heh. I want to play as a human guy, just to get the whole experience.
