So, we're almost entirely moved into the new place. There is, give or take, a car load of stuff left at the old place. There is also a lot of garbage and dust at the old place. As well as a wonderful surprise in the form of icky, icky mold. You may remember that we found a patch of it in my closet a few months ago and I killed it dead with bleach. Well, it is back and it is bigger. And there is a similar patch in the opposite corner of the apartment. It seems that, per the landlord, our (shockingly large to me) mold issue is one of the smaller ones in the building. That plus the cracking walls and the leaking from the floor above ours, the tub issue, the shower issue and all of the plumbing issues... Well... I'm happy to be somewhere else now.

A few notes from the weekend:

- My Kindle screen cracked and it no longer works properly. Curses! There will have to be a new one in my life and soon. I now have a longer bus ride in to work, you see. I will call customer service today and see what my options are.

- The new place is warm at night. I have, hopefully, made it a little less so. I like to be cool at night, really.

- I need curtains. There is too much light that comes in at night.

- Before I get curtains, I totally need shower curtain hooks. Will get some tonight.

- Can't Stop Moving = Awesome. Would use again any time. Thanks for the recommendation, Ben!

- I am very, very glad to be almost done with this whole thing. I hate moving but it is a process that is near and dear to me. Hopefully, I'm done for a good while.

- The travel bug is nipping at my feet HARD. I need to go somewhere, preferably somewhere far away or where I haven't been, and soon. Maybe some time in February I'll take a trip somewhere.

- Speaking of travel, they should impose some serious security screening and impose it on everyone or stop wasting everyone's time. Germany and India were much better at actual security when I went through those airports, though there was still elements of theater. Seriously, people, these watch lists and all of that are stupid and mostly wrong and even when they're right, the information isn't disseminated fast or correctly enough.
