Latino Review says that there are five actresses on the short list to play Carol Ferris: Eva Green, Jennifer Garner, Diane Krueger, Keri Russel and Blake Lively. I like Eva Green for the look...

Per Variety "CSI" creator Anthony Zuiker has set up action series "Jax and Amber" at CBS. It is about two female detectives "who harbor a unique insight into solving crimes". Whatever that means.

The trailer for Clash of the Titans was such a hit that some money was freed up and they're going back to shoot so more footage... Or so I'm reading.

I seriously can't decide if this looks awesome or terrible. Or awesomely terrible. Terribly awesome?

Never mind that no one anywhere in this movie is doing karate (it's Mantis, ahem), I may see it just for the last self-referential bit in the trailer with Jackie "catching a fly with chopsticks". :)

This kind of movie pops up every few years, and that's cool, there's always room for 'em-I just don't get why they're calling it a remake of The Karate Kid. I mean, do they seriously think so few people know the difference between China and Japan? Did they really need that franchise's weight to get people to watch a coming-of-age tale starring Jayden Smith and Jackie Chan?

Re the Jax and Amber stuff ... color me with the cynical crayon, but my first reaction is that Zuiker is defining "unique insight" as "they gots bewbies." (Admittedly my opinion of Zuiker took a nosedive when he described "sitting around and drinking while my wife does a photo shoot with the Suicide Girls" as "my wife let me party with the Suicide Girls." 'Cos, dude? Sounds like they were working and you were watching.)
