Local peoples!

One of my favorite local businesses got bilked out of a huge order and now may not have enough money to stay in business. In the past I have given a /lot/ of Bliss Soap product out as presents. (Chances are if you ever got awesome smelling soap from me, it was from these guys.) If you have a few extra dollars, can you please consider ordering some soap to help these guys out? They're always giving away samples and they're so very kind every time I visit the store.

I just got back from there. OMG best store ever, and I felt wonderful shopping there even apart from these events. Phil was absolutely knowledgeable, generous, personal, and charming. This is how all small businesses should be run.

While I was there, three other people came into the store and said they'd heard about the incident on the internet; they all made purchases. The owner said that within 6 hours of his email going out, his phone was literally ringing off the hook - he had to stop answering it because he couldn't help customers in the store with that many phone calls coming in. Internet orders have gone through the roof. The perpetrators of the fraud have also had their phone ringing off the hook; apparently one message left for them was, "You messed with the wrong community." And the state attorney general called Phil to check in on the whole story.

This is social networking done right.
