To give a good summation of the Superman/DC/WB ruling I saw yesterday... Well.. Lemme sum it up as I understand it - On Wednesday, the judgeruled in favor of DC and WB in a suit filed by the heirs of Jerry Siege. The Siegel family asserted that they are owed profits on “Superman Returns”, but the court disagreed with this specific claim. A lot of other bits of this copyright back and forth have gone the other way. However, the judge ALSO ruled that if production on a new “Superman” film does not begin by 2011, they /will/ be eligible to sue Warner Bros. for damages, as they will own the entire Superman copyright in 2013. I would expect to see the wheels on another movie rolling within a month, if not sooner.
Apparently Justin Timberlake did a screen test for Green Lantern. Now, I like JT, I think he's funny but ... Green Lantern? I... Ummm... Er...
