Wow. That's just weird.

Michael Jackson had a heart attack and died today.

It was especially weird because multiple news outlets reported it a lot of differen ways, including CNN, for awhile, saying he was in a coma.

I was always hoping that he'd make some sort of amazing come back and stop being so crazy.

In some ways, I think he's lucky to go this early. Every decade's just seen more decay from him and he's become more and more of a laughing stock. Maybe, now that we won't see him spiral even further down and constantly be in the news for one negative thing or another, people will start to remember that he was actually good once and the legend can start to build.

I can't say I knew him but I definitely got the impression that inside he was a very tortured soul. In some ways I think maybe he may be happier this way. The media piled so much shit on his shoulders during his lifetime I know I probably wouldn't have wanted to live. But he may have been really strong and retained a will to live. I wonder what those close to him thought, whether he wanted to live or die. Was he a broken guy, or still going.

I'm shocked. And yes, I'm sad. I think he was a profoundly messed up individual, through little fault of his own, and nobody seemed to either want or be able to help him. It's a sad, sad thing.
