I'm going to get a Kindle and I'm going to get it in time for my trip to visit my parents. Birthday present to me.

So there.

Gore Verbinki is going direct a new Clue movie. Hrmmm.

Are you ready for this? 2010 and 2011 are going to be full of geekness. Someone once told me the best was over. Pah

Look for Jonah Hex on August 6th 2010 and Green Lantern on December 17th of the same year. .

The second half and last of the Harry Potter movies will be released on July 15, 2011. (That will be the same weekend as The Avengers movie unless someone blinks.)

December 25th, 2009 - Sherlock Holmes (the Robert Downey Jr. one), Disney's Princess and the Frog and The Rock's Tooth Fairy movie.

The new Clash of the Titans will be March 26, 2010.

There is a new Yogi Bear project underway.

Lindsay Price has been cast as one of the Witches of the new Eastwick.

Lou Diamond Phillips, Ming-Na, Elyse Levesque and Alaina Huffman finish the cast of Stargate Universe.

LL Cool J has been cast to star in CBS' "NCIS" spin-off. He's gonna be an ex-Navy Seal!

There are a LOT of Watchmen reviews out there and they're not the reactions you'd usually expect - either absurdly positive or negative - as fan reviews tend to be.

I am so jealous I may hold my breath until I pass out.

They're showing up all over the office and it is driving me mad.

That's okay.

If I really, truly needed it, I could put it on my credit card - but right now my goal is to lower my credit card bills and get them under control again. So, I am just going to have to be disciplined and save up.

It helps that I work with Luddites, and so I don't see them everywhere.

Heh. Everyone's all, "Look at mine! It's so coooool." And I am, unfortunately, a complete sucker for that sort of thing.

It's certainly not a waste of your money!

You just have more discretionary funds than I do.. for obvious reasons. :)

I'm hoping that I'll be able to use it on the treadmill. *crosses her fingers*

My husband likes his kindle and it is awesome on trips. Plus, there is that instant gratification of "Oh! I want" that becomes "Oh, I have!"

Yeah. That plus being able to read on the treadmill without having to hold the book open is what I'm all about.

I'm so torn. It's breathtakingly awesome technology, and sexy as all get out, but, well, while I've gotten over my aversion to only owning digital copies of things when it comes to music (only in the past year), I still like having books, I like perusing my shelf, and pulling something down cause I haven't read it in a while, and even though it would be fantastic to have my whole library in the palm of my hand, I'd miss having the sprawling, colorful bookshelves too, and the feel of turning pages.

(That being said, we're about two shelves from having to reinforce the floors, so maybe this is a bandwagon I should well and truly jump on).

(Today's xkcd doesn't quell the fires any, either.)

For me, if I love a book, really, really love it and want to reread it many times, I'll probably still pick up a copy. If I'm honest with myself, most of the books I have aren't being reread.

I use mine while donating blood. Treadmill should be doable.

Oh Kindle. So is no one going to comment about CLUE??? WTF? Do we REALLY, REALLY need to redo this movie? Remaking Tim Curry and Madeline Kahn... REALLY? This hurts me to my core man.
