I hate MySpace but here it is: http://www.myspace.com/x-menorigins

So. A few notes.

- Logan through the years in different wars is pretty cool.
- I like the inclusion of the Origins story bits as well. That's nice.
- Gambit. Awesome. I don't care how much you all hate. Whatever. Blah, blah, blah.
- Emma Frost? What?
- Deadpool - Seemingly starts out with no scars and such but there is a brief snippet of a scene later where he's fighting Logan where he looks a bit more screwed up, so maybe this is a process?
- Flying through the air onto the helicopter? Ummmmm. ..... Uhhh. That's the part that I'm really hoping this movie /isn't/ like.

Here's my question, though, for you true Marvel people. The FBI looking guy who shoots Logan when he's coming out of the tank? The guys who says, "I think he heard you." Am I just seeing this or is that actually Jimmy Woo? Because... ummmm... awesome if it is.

I was surprised at how very pleasing the trailer turned out to be. If the movie has half its awesomeness, it will be good. It will be even better if it has TWICE the awesomeness.

And he looks like a decent Gambit, really. I got no complaints. :)

Dude. I think you're right. I think that was Emma Frost. O.O

Also Ted says it's Agent Zero or something, according to IMDB, not Jimmy Woo. Unless they're the same person. I donno Jimmy Woo. :)

Watching the trailer on myspace.com, or going to see "The Day The Earth Stood Still" and catching the trailer there...which is truly the lesser of two evils? ;-)

My friend thought it might be Paige, but I dunno. It -did- look very diamond-skin Emma...

So, I hate Wolverine. Really, truly, with a passion, I hate Wolverine.

But I might have to go see this. It looks almost...well, palate-cleansing is too strong a word, but maybe pain-lessening, after X3.

You used the right icon for this. I don't know poop from applesauce about Marvel, but that movie is a Man Nom Fest. That Gambit boy is ... So cute. Like the actor that plays Sabertooth too.

I had taken that gentlemen for one Christoph Nord, AKA Maverick.

He was the gunbunny of Team-X.

But I could very well be wrong, as Maverick was East German, not Asian.

From: [identity profile] lithera.livejournal.com
You are correct. He's supposed to be Maverick or Agent Zero has he's billed. Which is not as cool.

The Gambit didn't do anything for me looks wise, and I'd have to hear, yaknow, DIALOGUE before I made a more informed decision on him as a Gambit personage.

Overall it looks good tho.

Ok, considering they put in parts from the Origins story, I liked. However, Wolverine is not my favorite character, he never has been. I also know that Marvel likes to pimp him out, so this is the next X-Movie we get. I'm so torn if I want to see this or not. I was SO disappointed with X3 that I have almost written off this Franchise. But, I'm willing to give it a chance. I'll need the next installments of trailers. I'm...gasp....undecided.

I hate Gambit. I will probably hate their Deadpool.

But I loved flying at helicopter. That's so damn comic-booky.

I'm going to dissect the trailer soon, when I have time.

Shoot. I was thinking "Jimmy Woo? I might actually see this."

Er, replied accidentally to Andy. Doh!

I'm hoping that's a young Storm, yeah? Assuming the kid with mismatched eyes before her is Stryker's kid, the guy from X-2. I expected more Deadpool. Also hoping Silver Fox doesn't end up completely lame since no one but Liev speaks the awesome.

Go Liev!

From: [identity profile] lithera.livejournal.com
*chuckles*

It's okay. I'm not sure if it is young Storm or not. I've been told that there is young Scott in this somewhere, so it wouldn't be too surprising.

Ditto. But, for some reason, if it were Schreiber-tooth flying at the helicopter I'd be much more "aww, kick ass!".

Dunno why.

Liev is sexy.

Okay, that's why.

From: [identity profile] lithera.livejournal.com
*laughs*

It isn't a sexy thing for me. It is ... I have a thing about characters that are just too powerful. I hate playing them and Logan is one of those characters who so often and do EVERYTHING OMG!

Batman too. Sometimes it just pushes a button, you know?
From: [identity profile] mizkit.livejournal.com
Oh, I sort of didn't mind the helicopter bit because it made me think "that's where he got the idea for a Fastball Special" :)

I still love Batman, I just hate Mary Bat-Sue. Marvel, however, has managed to suck everything good out of Wolverine. His uber Mary Sueness really irks me. If I want to watch a character who can never ever die, I'll watch Torchwood.

They went with Diamond Emma Frost. Shame, I love Supertelepath White Bitch Queen, I'm not too fond of Emma Frost with Added Sparkly Nigh Invulnurability.

Oh well. I'll still watch the thing. If they are going to go through the trouble of putting out an apology for X-Men III, the least I can do is to graciously accept it.

Date: 2008-12-16 04:24 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] lithera.livejournal.com
Or at least see if the apology is worth accepting. Jackman has said, though, that if the fans don't like what he's doing, he'll stop. He doesn't want to kill a franchise. He's also said, though, that he'd like to try to do Logan's time in Japan. Which seems awesome and impossible to me.

I have to concur with Andy. I thought the helicopter bit was pretty fuckin' awesome. So very, very comic book. Also kind of reminiscent of 300, in a way.

In short, I am all over this movie like white on rice. I just hope it didn't blow its load on the trailer.

*chuckles* I have different levels of suspension of disbelief for movies than for comics, so it seems. In a comic it would be awesome but I see it in a movie (like in Die Hard 4, too) I roll my eyes.

*shrugs* If it works for you, that's awesome. I will enjoy Gambit, you enjoy your helicopter and we'll both be happy.
