Date: 2008-09-23 09:34 pm (UTC)From what I've heard, the SD-1500 isn't BD-Live capable, even with flash updates. The PS3 is. In fact, the PS3 is - realistically - the best Blu-Ray player on the market.
Remember also that many HDTV's have built-in upconverting software that will be (in some cases) superior to that in some upconverting TV's. Samsung and Toshiba were among the first to do this, and it's integrated into the vast majority of their models.
