TICKETS ON SALE FOR SEATTLE CHARITY PREMIERE SCREENING OF STAR WARS: Episode II: Attack of the Clones

SEATTLE - On May 12, 2002, moviegoers in 11 major cities across the country and in Canada will get the chance to see the premiere screening of Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones days before it opens to the public on May 16. Childhaven, a Seattle non-profit agency that provides therapy and treatment for abused and neglected children, was selected by Lucasfilm Ltd. and Twentieth Century Fox to be the beneficiary of the Seattle premiere.

"We are thrilled and honored to have been selected as the Seattle beneficiary," said Laura Sheehan, Childhaven's Executive Director. "Support of this event means that hundreds of abused and neglected children under the age of six throughout greater King County will continue to receive much needed protection and treatment."

Tickets to the premiere screening are $500 and $1,000 each and are available for purchase only through Childhaven's Web site at www.Childhaven.org Ticket holders are invited to attend a pre-screening gala at 2:00 p.m. and the premiere screening at 4:00 p.m. at the Cinerama Theatre in downtown Seattle. Guests will get to mingle with their favorite Star Wars friends and local celebrities, feast on galactic cuisine, sip cosmic colored drinks, and participate in games and other activities.

Each guest will receive a goodie bag filled with Star Wars games, toys, books, candies and memorabilia. Thousand dollar ticket holders will also receive a special edition Star Wars commemorative item and preferred seating for the film. In addition to the goodie bags, Anakin light sabers, limited edition lithographs, and many collector-grade Star Wars items will be raffled.

Vulcan Inc. and Wizards of the Coast have teamed-up with Childhaven as sponsors for the Seattle charity premiere screening. John Curley, host of the local television show, "Evening Magazine" will serve as Master of Ceremonies for the event.

Me too. If I had the money I'd give it to Childhaven. Yet another thing to put on my, "When I'm a Gajillionare..." list.

Enh. I'll wait until it's been out of a month or two and the theatre has the digital print of the movie. Then I'll go see it.... on a matinee.... with the Alanis Morrisette clause.

Note to self:

Bill Gates is small and scrawny and likely to attend this.

Beat him up and take his ticket.
