I still hate going to the gym, except I can feel it becoming a familiar sort of hate, an almost comfortable and cozy feeling. I'm not really losing any weight but I can feel something changing in my body. The shape of things is shifting as well. My clothes fit differently. I get less tired when I'm being active. I can lift more weight. I have no doubt that I'm getting healthier but I'm having a hard time, to be honest, with the actual weight loss.

I know. I know, be patient. Be patient, eat right, do more cardio, keep going to the gym.

I've started going to the gym early in order to get more cardio in. I'm doing a minimum of 30 minutes, which ends up being close to a mile, most days, depending on what difficulty I have the machine set at.

I have measurements. I have a few goals. I... feel good about both but I can just feel what is beneath that thin layer of satisfaction.

Oi.

As the layers become thinner then you'll have more satisfaction to go around as well :) Or...something like that.

*chuckles*

Well. Right now, I'm just trying not to fall through it into the self-doubt and other crap below it.

Hey, at least you're still in the habit. I made it 6 weeks going 3 times a week and then ... er ... I'm very well intentioned. Yeah. That's it. Or I'm waiting for a Wii Balance Board. Yeah, because standing in place will burn so many calories. :)

Go on, lady. Be an inspiration.

Man, this is hard. I just keep feeling like Sisyphus.

You're doing better than me. When I go regularly, I get so much energy back from it. But then something *always* comes up. I slide, then slide a little further, then get out of the habit.

Two months later, I look up and see someone else keeping to their committment. I need to learn some balance.

And honestly, if you're not playing a sport you like for fun, I think you'll always feel like you're pushing that rock. It's hard to stay motivated when it isn't something you look forward to every day. I think this is why dodgeball leagues and belly dancing classes have sprung up across the nation.

be patient with yourself sister. It is work. It does take time. you can do eet! The feeling less tired part is always a plus. You just feel so much more aware of your body and are mentally sharper. its like someone lifted a veil from your eyes.
