It was a long but good weekend.

I didn't have as much fun as I did last year but I did have a good time. I watched some Doctor Who and ssome Torchwood as they were both on pretty much any time I turned on the Con channels on the TV. So, that worked out pretty well. I really need to pull out the DVDs Sean gave me for Christmas and really watch them. I went around to parties and generally had a good time and left when they started getting silly. I went to a few pannels but I find that almost all of them weren't all that informative, though I did get a card from a lady that I'm going to have to follow up on.

So for me - Dealer's Room and Pannels = Comic Con. Hanging out with people = NorWesCon and I think I'm okay with that. I mean, if I only go to two a year, then it isn't bad that they're totally different, is it?

I've learned I'm growing tired of the intricate dance that knowing some people can be, at times. I just don't have the patience for it. Mind you, I'm not entirely certain I know what I want to do about that just yet, though. I was very glad to see all of the people I did, though there were a few people missing and it was a something I felt keenly at times. That's okay, though, since both Mike and Holly were there. YEAH!

Next year - More Crazy 88s. Air ship crew. I wanna be the Navigator!

It is a good Holly Birthday so far. HAPPY HOLLY DAY EVERYONE!

I getcha, darlin. There's some drama here that occasionally makes me want to run away from home. Most people are awesome, though, so I mustn't let a few bad eggs ruin it for everyone.

Speaking of the Crazy 88's, I'm going to a Kill Bill themed dance party next weekend. It looks crazy cool. They'll have people dressed up in costume, a martial arts studio there recreating scenes from the movies, films that inspired Kill Bill playing by the bar (including a Saki bar), and six bands, all in costume. Oh, bellydancers and fire spinners, too, just in case the rest of it wasnt' enough. I can't wait.

Glad you had a good time. I don't know when I'll get a chance to do a con again, so I'll stick to living vicariously through others. ;)

MMMmmmm engineer for me.

Have you ever seen Samurai 7? (http://www.samurai7.tv/) Think Heihachi, only more steampunk.

Samurai 7 is a pretty neat anime - samurai meets steampunk meets futuristic mecha all in the 7 Samurai story by Kurosawa.
