Haven't done one of these in a bit...
Mar. 10th, 2008 09:57 am"The Saint" is coming back to TV with (Pay attention you Rome fans) James Purefoy in talks to topline as the debonair international thief Simon Templar.
Mila Kunis is to star opposite Mark Wahlberg in Max Payne, firedcted by John Moore. That'll be interesting.
Thor is currently in a huge holding pattern, as Marvel decides if they want to make the movie Matthew Vaughn pitched.
It looks like AvP3 is pretty much a certainty.
http://www.empireonline.com/news/story.asp?NID=22143 - Simon Pegg talks about, or more accurately, talks around talking about being Scotty.
Edgar Wright, the man who directed Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, is currently the guy who will be bringing Ant Man to the screen. Now that I know that, well, I start to see where this could go. Even if he says it'll be the least comedic thing he's ever done.
Ben Browder is developing a miniseries for Sci Fi Channel alongside FARSCAPE director Andrew Prowse. "The miniseries follows a modern American 12-year-old boy, named Homer Ulysses Jones, who can see Greek and Roman gods walking among the populace. Homer and his father run away together after a fierce custody battle and head to the home of their ancestors in Ithaca, N.Y." Can I tell you how much I LOVE this idea?
An interesting article with Mr. Nolan about The Dark Knight
You call him Dr. Jones! http://www.aintitcool.com/node/35929
Ninjas and the Civil War? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aWt-fduKFmo
Are you not sold on Iron Man yet? Because you totally should be.
Warner Brothers has picked up the movie rights to Bone. Man, that could be awesome.
Paramount plans to stage a "simultaneous roadblock" of seven networks (MTV, MTV2, MTVU, VH1, Spike TV, Nick at Nite and CMT) on March 12th at 9:56 EDT/6:56 PDT to premiere the teaser trailer. Which is odd. I mean, this comes out in June. That's three months from now. How much Iron Man stuff have we seen? I mean, The Dark Knight isn't exactly pouring out material or anything and we've seen a TON more on that than we have The Incredible Hulk. It makes me nervous.
There aren't /really/ any spoilers about The Dark Knight over here but if you don't want to know ANYTHING about Harvey in the movie don't go looking here. Also, as a note, this movie is starting to sound DARK DARK DARK DARK DARK. Like possible problems with the ratings board dark, like The Joker is... well... The Joker, dark. Hooray!
