My weekend of weekend

.... was generally a good one for all that I felt about as motivated as a slug. I spent Saturday on the couch. I really didn't ahve the energy to do more than that. Doing a load of dishes in the dishwasher was almost my undoing. It was very sad.

Sunday Kris and I got out of the house. We got our hair done, which is nice. I have a new color! It isn't all that startling but it is comfortable. Even with as red as it is, I sort of wish it were a little more so. But that's okay. The lady dyeing my hair said she saw grey hairs. I'm not entirely surprised by that. I've been finding them on and off since I was 19 or so, so it isn't really shocking. I really hope I get cool silver hair and not yellow-y hair.

I bought another pair of Fluevogs. These will likely see more use than the other ones. They're something I could even wear to work if I get up the courage. (Yes. Shut up. I need courage to wear cute shoes to work. I'm a dork, go away.)

Last night was Knight Rider which I liked. It was pretty much the same vein as the old show. Smaller levels of cheese and I appreciated Val Kilmer bringing the prissiness of KITT to life. The only thing that got me was HOW VERY MUCH product placement there was. I mean, the whole thing could have been "HALLO. BUY A FORD, PLZ. NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW."

Even if the Shelby is SUPER HOT.

I'm slightly obsessed with a character, which happens from time to time. I hope it won't fade before I get to really get into the swing of things.

They're cute as hell. 3.5" seems kinda high, though, are they still comfy? I'd assume at the very least they're not agonizing.

The soft ankle area looks a lot more comfy than the harsh biting patent leather that usually comes in such shoes.

I don't know if I could walk in 3.5 inch heels, though.

They're comfy for at least 15 minutes, which is how long I had them on.... And it seemed about right to me. I was really surprised that they were that high when I read it.

Alas, your feet would swim in my shoes. I have large feets. Fluevog shoes are the most comfortable heels I've ever worn.

I know for sure that I couldn't walk in them--3" nearly killed me when I wore them to a wedding last year. I have no fucking clue how some women manage those little impale-y 4" and 5" things.

Though Fluevog is comparatively enlightened in heel design, they still don't believe in women with calf muscles. :P Booooo. My dream of owning a pair of Farinellis will forever be stymied.

A few months ago, I went into the shop and asked the (charming, knowledgeable) clerk what the calf circumference was. I forget what the measurement was, but I remember that it was about 2 inches too small. And the lacing is purely decorative. My disappointment is palpable, but mollified somewhat by the removal of even the option to blow $400 on a pair of shoes.
