"Y: The Last Man" and "Fables" are both books I borrowed, fell in love with, and had to start buying. I think the industry has figured out that druglord tactics work. Free samples lead to eager customers.

Agreed. I've been getting Fables from the begining but Y was the same way for me.

I don't know why, but I had to be talked into Fables. Once I got my hands on the first graphic novel, though, I HAD to have more.

I wish Marvel could write stuff that addictive. I miss looking forward to the X-Men.

I gave up on trying to catch Astonishing in individual issues and have switched entirely to trades. It's too disappointing otherwise.

The cross over, so far, as been pretty good. I'm having a hell of a good time reading the Essential X-men #8 collection.

Uncanny X-men 229-243, Annual #12 and X-Factor 36-39. A lot of X-men in Australia and the lead up to Inferno so far.

The pointy faces! The eyebrows! The HAIR!

But...some darn good stories from around that time. Storm and Forge being shunted off to their own world for awhile, for example. And wasn't that around the same time as the very first Genosha storyline?
