Awesomeness abounds
Jan. 4th, 2008 09:49 amAwesome things all over:
1 - I've been contacted for interviews. For the books position. The video games people totally lose out but really, I want the books one so much I can freakin taste it. I just have to not psych myself out. Sometimes I get so nervous taht I detach myself from my emotions in order to think clearly and... well... then I lose the excitment. I have to ride the line between and it is a hard thind to do.
2 - My friend
mizkit signed a comic book contract with the Dabel Brothers to get her comic published. I'm so very excited for her! It is totally awesome.
I keep thinking that 'when I grow up' I want to be one of those people who knows people. Maybe a fixer or something of the like. We'll see how it goes. I like being a buyer atm. And yeah, there is some sort of vague idea of spurring a few people on to being more successful than they are now or something like that. (If only they'd cooperate....)
3 - I move tomorrow. This is awesome and scary and crap, I don't have enough stuff packed. Now, really, the biggest part I have left is the kitchen but it is also the part I hate THE MOST. HATE HATE HATE. *ahem* But, I'm looking forward to moving. If only so I don't have to deal with my landlord and his passive agressive guilt tripping ANYMORE. And Carol is coming tomorrow to help me stay sane. Yeah sanity!
4 - My bosses are all out of the office most of next week at CES. HA HA HA! Of course, this means I get to catch up with all sorts of things, which is good. I like having time.

Date: 2008-01-04 07:00 pm (UTC)Much better. Multiplying appointments is far preferable to multiplying Carols. ;-)

Date: 2008-01-04 07:24 pm (UTC)Congrats on moving tomorrow! I don't say good luck because I don't expect you to actually fall down a flight of stairs or have to seduce trucker in order to relocate your goods.
At this point, it always feels overwhelming. I am crazy the last two days before any move. The day after, though? Awesome. You forget why you liked the old place and settle into unpacking and making the new space your own. I recommend putting up art first. It's like peeing in the corners, only without the nasty smell.
