Mission: Sean and Marci wedding
Dec. 31st, 2007 12:20 amAccomplished!
It was a good time. The more weddings I go to the more I realize what I would and would not want at one of my own. I think I might be too attached to ritual for my own good for things like this. There were some people I was very glad to see. I wish I could see some of them more often but distance is a pain in the ass.
The past few days have been amazingly good for me. Having Laura down to visit and taking the time off have been things I've needed and didn't even really know that I needed. I needed a pause, even if it has been a very busy one. It hasn't been work and that is a fantastic thing right now. Tomorrow is the New Year and then I get the keys to the new place, drop Laura off at the bus station and pack.
Tuesday evening and all day Wednesday will be packing up everything that hasn't been already packed as well as a massive load of laundry so I can then, pack those clothes as well Wednesday will probably also involve getting people to come and take away the computer desk as well as the couch, the bed frame, the old computer monitor and the old TV. Holly is taking the dresser - so if anyone wants any of the above, please let me know.
I would prefer to give those to a good home than people I don't know. Then again, I don't have a problem donating them, either. (Along with some stuffed animals and likely some more clothing, because I have a small ton of clothes that I don't wear often.)
Man, I am tired.
