So. Work has brought me to a 'must laugh about it or I'll cry' place.

Essentially if anyone wants a digital frame clock radio, today would be the day to buy one because I'm freaking losing a kajillion dollars on this thing for today and today only.

So. Instead of focusing on that, I'll focus on other stuff. Things that make me happy include:

- Laura is coming down from that Canada place to visit from the 27th to the 2nd. Ironically enough, she can help me pack. And this means I will not be going by myself to Marci's wedding. Ooooh. My date's a girl. How scandalous.

- I have fantastic friends. Really, I do. Even when I want to yell at them for being passive agressive dorks. Even when they're totally clueless. They're still my friends and great people.

- I'm finally in the packing frame of mind. I have to actually get boxes now but I'm in the right frame of mind to start packing things up and throwing things away. (BTW, if anyone needs a computer desk, a computer monitor, a dresser or a TV let me know. I'm getting rid of them - I'd prefer they go to a good home than not.)

- Music. I love it. It helps me with a lot of things. Bon Jovi got me to work. Queen, NIN and The Beatles will get me through the rest of the day.

- Movies. The Golden Globe nominations are out. Cate Blanchet is up there twice for different projects. Johnny Depp is nominated for Sweeny Todd. And I'm thrilled Amy Adams got nominated for Enchated. She's the one who makes that movie work.

Anyway... I have to put my nose to the grindstone and all of that. Yeah work!

Bon Jovi has gotten me through plenty of pages on books on hard days. :) *hugs*!

Maybe this will help as well? Maybe not.

why is working making you cry? is it the Q4 omgwtfbbq madness, general malaise, wanting to do something else?
If so, I'm going through a similar phase. I miss working for WOTC and having the week of Christmas off ...

The clock frame radio is seriously unprofitable at the price I have to have it at today in hopes of moving it through. It is painful to lose this much money. Seriously. Painful.

Does it cost you money?

Personally? ... depends on how you look at it. It is likely going to make it so I'm not going to hit some of my annual goals. Which effects my review. Which will make it so I get fewer stocks and no bonus if there are bonuses.

Well that bites.

What if no one buys those clock/frame thingies?

We'll have to find another way to get rid of them. Liqudation isn't any prettier of an option.

If I had money, I'd offer to take you out for a post-work drink. As it stands, I dont. So, know that I totally understand and hope things improve.

Thanks. I'm managing well enough. It isn't quite as bad as I thought it might be.

Do you happen to know if Japanese radio works the same way as ours? If I bought that for my brother in Tokyo, would he be able to use all the functionality?

I'm pretty sure that AM/FM is the same over there. At least it was when I lived there. You'd need a converter for the electrical plug, though.
