Entertainment things!
Dec. 12th, 2007 11:41 amOkay. There is a lot of stuff. So. Bear with me.
On the anime front I would like to point out this super cool PC controllable Tachikoma.
Also Studio Ghibli's site for Ponyo on a Cliff is up if you want to look. The movie will tell the story of a five year old boy and a goldfish princess who wishes to become a human.
The direct to DVD Batman anime project is continuing forward. This is being pitched to be like the Animatrix. It is supposed to be covering the time between the two movies. In addition of involvement from Bruce Timm, Batman: Gotham Knight will feature work from anime studios Madhouse (The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Paprika), Studio 4°C (TekkonKinkreet), and Production I.G (Ghost in the Shell). Director Satoshi Kon (Paprika) is said to be working on the project as well.
Del Rey Manga and Marvel are trying another X-men manga collaboration. Wolverine looks /really/ young and that's about all I'm going to say about that.
Over to TV - It looks like Journeyman didn't get picked up for a full season, which is a damned shame. I liked that show. I liked it a lot.
The Amazing Race, unsurprisingly, got picked up for a new season.
Interested in detail on the new Knight Rider?
Lost season 4 trailer!
There is a Critic's Association that normally hosts a meeting in January to look at the second half of the season. They've called it off, mainly to there not being a second half of the season at this point. If you want more on the strike there are a lot of good sites out there but I'd start here: http://unitedhollywood.blogspot.com/
Now on to movies!
The first five minutes of AvP Requiem are out there if you want to find them. I've heard they don't totally suck. I haven't watched them yet. I'm super busy.
And... Yeah. That's all for now.
There is going to be a Lost Skeleton of Cadavra sequel!
