Fine. If they strike, I want 10% of one director's salary until they get back, at which point they can have all 100% again

Is it a writers' strike, or something else?

There is an impending Writers Guild, Directors Guild and Screen Actors Guild strike next year. There is a decent article on it here: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/331186/screen_actors_guild_may_push_for_strike.html

Sammy's Hill? As in the Kristin Gore book? Yes, when I think 'chick lit' I think 'David O. Russell.' o_O

Some interesting stuff in there.

I'm assuming Cell is based off the Stephen King book.

And who the hell let Fred Durst direct a movie? :)

Also, eeee....new Kevin Smith :)

Yeah. Cell is based on the King book.

Some interesting things in there and some very cringe worthy things in there.

Cell was a hella creepy book. Ticks me off that these guys go on strike...but then again I suppose there's an awful lot of actors...writers...directors...who do small films etc...who don't exactly get the megabucks the stars do. I still find it hypocritical for the stars to take part in the strike though...their sky high salaries are probably what drive the salaries of the unsung writers and bit actors way down. Can't pay them well when your star is taking up 75 to 80% of the casting budget.

Man though...a delay on the Harry Potter film isn't a good thing...the trio isn't getting any younger and they're under contract for the films so they can't exactly get replaced. A lot of the other films I could care less about. I Dream of Jeannie? Blech... Justice League? It's going to blow goats...I know it. I can't see how they'd blend the different tones from the other franchises...Nolan's Batman and Singer's Superman are completely different...and who knows what the Wonder Woman film will be like.

The Justice League movie is going to be something entirely different. It is rumored to be motion capture, so they're really not trying to blend the tones. The Wonder Woman movie is really waiting at this point. They don't have a director or anything, so that's really on hold.

These are movies which might be impacted, not ones that specifically will be impacted.
