The Sci Fi Channel as of August 3rd, 2007 has decided not to renew The Dresden Files for a second season citing production costs as the reason.

As with many shows with a devoted fan base, a campaign to pressure the Sci-Fi Network to renew the series has been started. Important campaign sites include "Save the Dresden Files" (http://maenad.tripod.com/saveharrydresden/index.html) and the "Dresden City Renewal Community" (http://dresdencity.org)

Feh. Feh, feh, feh. TVHarry isn't BookHarry, but that was okay. It was still a perfectly good show, and a thousand times better than their "Original SCIFi Movies" that they show. Boo!

Huh. I got the impression that the "production costs" for Dresden were fairly low.

SciFi is just pissing me off to *no* end. FarScape, Firefly, now this. What is it about NYT Bestseller that they don't understand?!
