1 - Zoo? Who is coming? I'm thinking we can meet at my place around noon or at the zoo around 1. Work for you?

2 - Ocean's 13 - Friday night. Anyone else up for that? Me, Steve and Sean so far.

Nick Fury is gonna be in Iron Man. *grins* And he's played by Sam Jackson. Awwww yeah.

I don't care what you all say. I like the Bat Pod, even if the name is very unfortunate.

There is a small ton of stuff that's come out in the week I've been gone. Not much is truly huge but... I'll see if I can cobble it together.

And yes. Vacation write up is coming. When I have some time and brain power at the same time.

(The Red Wings might be getting Chris Drury. That would be... Just... Eeeee!)

YES! Samuel Jackson as Nick Fury!

I understand about not getting to vacation writeups. Life continues to move apace, so mine (which was doubtless far less exciting than your trip to Japan, granted) will have to remain simply, "Mmm. Relaxing. Good."

I completely and totally hope that this is a set up to move him over int the Avengers movie AND the Nick Fury movie that is being planned. Because... Well.... Damn.

Oh, I hope Jackson is into that. I know there are plenty of people who like the old school Fury, but I love Jackson as the Ultimate Fury.

The next time you go to Japan, I have a renewed passport. I won't have money at the time, but hey, a girl can dream.

*chuckles*

Well, Japan will be awhile in the offing but Italy.... Italy isn't as far off as all that, timewise.

I hope he's up for it too. He was fun to listen to at Comic Con last year. I think he had a good time.

Zoo -- yes. Dinner, I'm still ruminating.

Ooh. What are you doing in Italy? (I love Rome, in all its wacky spelndor.) Just seeing the sights or is Amazon sending you for more training goodness?

Seeing the sights. We're planning on going sometime Spring next year. Or so that's the plan. We shall see. I haven't seen Rome but I've been to Venice.

Rome was smaller than I expected. You really can walk the entire city - well, if you like walking a LOT. :) There's no point even trying to list the things to see. The city is too dense with them. (Although the monestary where the monks went batshit and started decorating with the bones of their own deceased stands out. I wish I could remember the name.)

I only spent about 6 hours in Venice. My sucky ex didn't want to spend the night in the city becuase it was too expensive, so we just did a day-trip ferry over. He also insisted on eating at McDonalds because he didn't trust the exotic Italian food. Yeah. That pasta might getcha. *eyeroll* What I did see was gorgeous, though.

I've also been to Naples and a couple of random beaches full of German tourists. I love the archeological sites, which tragically bores most other people to tears.

I want to go to Pompeii. I want to go to Rome.

I haven't seen Pompeii. I have a deep, deep desire to do so. I've been to Ephesus, and even though way too much of it has been repaired with cheap concrete, there was something truly amazing about sitting in the remains of the library there.

There's something incredible about being in an actual ancient city. If I let myself go in this vein too long, I'm going to stop working and just babble about connections to the distant past.

I went to rome a few years ago and trust me, it is worth seeing. One of these days I have to go back because there was so much I wanted to see but ran out of time.

I love the Ultimate Fury so much that whenever I come across the old school Fury I'm all like, "...why's he white? ...OH RIGHT STARTED OUT THAT WAY DUH" :)
