A few things before I'm eaten by work...

litheraNew Year's - I don't have any specific plans. I want there to be a large gathering of my friends. What's up? (I've been sick and really sort of lacking energy for much of anything that involves actual thought.)
FF XII - Steve loaned me his copy and thank God he did. Last night I was walking home and the FF thema came on my shuffle and I took this to be a sign. I was feeling awful because of work stress and decided that... that was the key. And it was. The opening bits are taking the Battle of Helm's Deep and using magicpunk (sort of like Escaflowne) technology with an episodic Star Wars feel. It was pretty bad ass, really. Anyway, it made me feel less crunchy and generally happy and I must say that I need to remember that therapy via Final Fantasy is a prefered way to go.
Tonight! I want to go see Happy Feet. Kris says she is interested in joining me. Anyone else want to go see subversive dancing and singing penguins?

There was a giant spider on the sidewalk on my way in. Not like an actual living and breathing spider but like a suffed animal spider. He was, to put it bluntly, huge. Easily wrap his legs around my waist big, if he'd been real. It was sort of scary to walk around this morning.
