The weekend...

litheraSo, I would like to note that Everett is of the Devil and that for some reason the traffic totally sucks. It should not take me over two hours to get from Woodinville to Marysville. It just should not happen.
Hanging in Vancouver was awesome. I had a good time and am feeling more relaxed than when I went up there. Amazingly, this was not ruined by the traffic travelling up or back home, even though getting into the US is apparently very difficult for everyone but me.
They didn't even look at my passport on the way into Canada. Go figure.
I hung out with Laura a lot. We walked all over, went and visited comic shops, saw two movies, went out to a club and had some really good food. To be honest, I couldn't have asked for much more from the weekend.
My Super Ex-Girlfriend was much funnier than I would have expected it to be. I think this is mainly due to me getting a kick out of Eddie Izzard, who I had forgotten was in the movie at all. That and when everyone says that a movie is going to suck more than anything has sucked before, it doesn't have to be the best movie in the world for you to get any enjoyment out of it at all.
Scoop was a movie I think I'd heard of before but hadn't really paid any attention to what it was about or anything. Hugh Jackman, Woody Allen and Scarlet Johanssen are all good in it. It is a murder mystery that ends up not having anything objectionable to it to anyone over the age of perhaps 7. Hugh was looking very sexy and did a nice job of making you want to believe him. Woody Allen was funny. Scarlet Johnassen was a bit of a ditz and it sort of got to me in places but in general it was charming. And this movie certainly starts out much differently than one might think - an excellent hook. I think I'll end up buying this movie to be one of those movies I like to show other people. If you see it watch for the familiar face with about ten minutes left in the film.
I just totally forgot what else I was going to say. There was more but I think I'm done for the moment. Work takes precedence and all of that fun stuff.
