Fox has already greenlit a ninth season of animated hit King of the Hill which wilwill keep Arlen, Texas, mainstays Hank, Peggy and Bobby Hill on the network through at least May 2005. Guest voices for the upcoming eighth season include Kelly Clarkson, Gene Simmons, Brad Pitt, Ben Stiller, Christina Applegate, Melissa Etheridge, Laura Dern, Jamie Kennedy and Sum 41.
NBC today plans to announce a deal with Matt LeBlanc to star in Joey, a Friends spin-off featuring the show's Joey Tribbiani who is headed for California.
VH1 is playing a show featuring the "200 Greatest Pop Culture Icons" and 4 superheroes are in their list: Wonder Woman at 176th, Batman (158th), Spider-Man (151st) and 2nd place was awarded to Superman. (Apparently Oprah Winfrey is 1st.)
Happy birthday to Anna Paquin. She's 21 today.
Scott Rummell told The Continuum he has returned for the second season of Cartoon Network's Justice League as the voice of Aquaman.
Ian McKellen plays himself in "The Regina Monlogues," an episode in which The Simpsons visit England. Upon arrival at Heathrow Airport, The Simpsons are welcomed by Prime Minister Tony Blair, guest-starring as himself, and they run into run into McKellen and Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling, providing their own voices.
