Samuel L. Jackson has been signed to a NINE picture deal with Marvel. So, lemme see... That would be Iron Man 2, Thor, Captain America, The Avengers... Ummmmm... Ant-Man...? Namor? Probably some sequels in there somewhere. Maybe a SHIELD movie?
I I will shamelessly say that I don't CARE if one of them is "Nick Fury: Agent of Sheild ...Goes Shopping" I will see as many of that damn things as I can because Marvel Studios = Made of Win and Samuel L (muthafukkin) Jackson = Made of Win so 9 movie deal = MADE OF SUPER PLUS DOUBLE WIN! Or something.
Both the Hollywood Reporter and Variety are reporting Warner Bros. has hired Justin Marks to write a Suicide Squad screenplay. Huh. That could be very interesting. Sort of an A-Team meet James Bond sort of action vibe. I like it for a franchise.
Ooooooooh. Me too.
Total Recall (sighs) and The NeverEnding Story (really big sigh) are both green lit for remakes. C'mon people. If they're looking for be more faithful to the orignal stories, I might be up for that but .... No. I'm tired of these remakes.
I refuse to see a remake of Total Recal. I may be convinced to see a new adaptation of We Can Remember it For You Wholesale. But these things have to be approached from the proper angle or they're not worth doing. DelToro or Gaiman or Henson or some combination of the above needs to be involved for a new Neverending Story to work. It needs to be dark and Mirrormask-esque, dammit.
