Uh... huh...

Runaways has been signed over to become a movie. We'll see how Marvel handles this one. I'm not really excited here. Worried, sure. Excited? *shrugs* Brian K. Vaughan is adapting the screening at least.

You can see the trailer for Gotham Knight here: http://www.latinoreview.com/news.php?id=4695

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige says Marvel’s Captain America movie, planned for a May 2011 release, will be a period film, set during World War II. Which, I think, is a good move. Of course then you have to explain how he's still alive for the Avengers movie and the whole frozen in a block of ice thing...? Uh huh...

It looks like Thor will mostly take place in Asgard, which ... Well... This movie is going to be a serious pain no matter what you do with it.

If nothing else, Marvel gets some love from me for this - http://www.marvel.com/news/comicstories.3547.Colbert_for_President

This is fun - http://www.denofgeek.com/movies/56976/the_7_very_best_star_wars_parodies_ever.html Except it isn't Cops, guys. It is Troops and it is hilarious.

I think they could spin a psuedo plausible explanation citing biochemistry found in certain actual marine life that allows the creature to be frozen without damage to the cells and then 'thaw out' and swimm off. Cross that with some science-hokum about the 'adaptive properties' in Cap's physiology derived from the super soldier serum tha allowed him to enter a 'perfect hibernation' blah blah blah..
It's on the pseudo science level of a mutation that goes from 'human' to 'I can turn into metal and bench an abrams tank' within the space off two generations.

Suddenly reminded of the SNL skit Caveman Lawyer....
